  1. Hi Adi

Welcome to the Summer Learning Journey, It's great to see that you have made a start to the programme. Well done.

I really like that you have set out your answers very clearly so it is easy to read.

There are so many really good myths and legends out there about Maui and his adventures. You are correct when you say that Maui fished up New Zealand. Legend has it that the South Island is the Waka and that Maui fished up the North Island.
He was also very sneaky Maui, he felt that he had to hide out on his brothers canoe just so that he could prove to them that he was as good and strong as them and able to go out fishing.

We have lots of really good myths and legends in Nga Manawa that you can read about Maui.
    Have you read any others?

I hope you have had a really good holiday so far Adi, I am really looking forward to reading more of your posts over the rest of the summer.

    Keep blogging!

    Until next time

    Allie :)
